| |
JOHN (JACK) BOYER was born in 1931, he grew up in Oregon and moved to Southern California as a young man. He taught himself to draw and has been creating his artwork for the majority of his 70+ years.
A master of composition and narrative, Jack uses many sorts of media in creating his works. He enjoys the vividness of oil pastels, Prismastix, graphite and most recently acrylic paints to describe his complex landscapes and narrative compositions.
Jack Boyer's characters exhibit similar features yet are distinguishable by their unique costumes and other subtle features.
He draws heads-of-state, international historical figures, religious icons and Hollywood horror movie characters, using the same attention to detail and his bold colorful style to reveal his personal storyline.
His work has been exhibited widely in the U.S and abroad.
