Damian Rojo DAMIAN ROJO was born in Santa Clara, Cuba in 1963. At the age of seven, he and his family immigrated to Miami, Florida. After struggling for many years, Rojo's family bought a house with a garage that would soon become Damian's workshop and refuge.

Rojo is a self taught painter and carpenter. His work is a homegrown mix of reliquary, circus regalia and weaponry. His fascination with the spirit world looms large. Integral to the work are journeys and destinations of spiritual significance, such as Oaxaca, Mexico and Transylvania, Romania.

His success has brought him recognition and admirers both from other artists and collectors throughout the country.
